TL;DR
If you want to visit a suburban museum, consider checking out At Home decor store.
Whom am I speaking to? Who is this going to help?
The person sitting home home with nothing better to do.
My Practical Experience
Today I went with one of my siblings to the At Home decor store. Here’s what happened.
Here’s what the store sells:
- Pillows & Cushions (50%)
- Containers & Vases (40%)
- Rugs & Carpet (5%)
- Paintings (3%)
- Random toys and junk (2%)
The store felt more like an open garage sale, where half the space was dedicated to cushions of sorts, and vases/containers were EVERYWHERE throughout the store.
Despite the new arrangement (for me), I could imagine inviting friends over to “interpret” the paintings and the vases.
The ceramic vases felt like they were taken from a middle school art class, and many of them simply felt so random in design.
There are, however, a few sections that have a certain “theme” or “asthenic”–this particular store specialized in outdoor beach/pool areas.
Nevertheless, I had a fun time interpeting the paintings and vases with my sibling, as it provided an outlet for us to either think back to childhood memories, or even straight-up roast or joke on the comical design of some of the ceramics.
Thanks for the advice, now how can I practically put this to use in a simple way for daily execution?
