TL;DR

Target so far is simply a nice place to go for creative ideas and maybe even future invites, but not a place I’d personally enjoy going to regularly.

Barnes and Nobles is far better.

Whom am I speaking to? Who is this going to help?

My Practical Experience

So I’ve completed a week day of going to Target after working hours. While I may not have secured a date, I am now forming the habit of simply going out there.

I’ve upgraded my Bumble messages from silly pick up lines like “Hey, did it hurt? When you fell from heaven?” to more direct, intentional messages like, “Hey cute dog! I’d love to learn more about your experience with pit bulls! Let’s visit Target this Saturday afternoon if you’re free”.

This type of messaging is nice because I name: (1) location (2) date (3) time (4) intention (causal meetup to talk about dogs)

Plus, I hear chicks dig going to Target.

This particular day 5 of visiting target was fairly short. I was in, then out. However, I did visit a shopping Plaza that had Barnes and Nobel.

Honestly, I’d much rather be in Barnes and Nobel over Target, because at a book store, I’m literally in the presence of so many cool ideas ready for me to use.

Thanks for the advice, now how can I practically put this to use in a simple way for daily execution?

Get in the HABIT of seeing what’s around your living area. Even if it does not get you exactly what you intended, you will at least have the habit of taking action.
