TL;DR
Whom am I speaking to? Who is this going to help?
My Practical Experience
My Mind Dump.
Example 1
“Do what feels good” is both bad advice and sound advice.
If you seek good feelings externally (vices, validation, consumption, etc.), you will never be content.
If you seek good feelings internally (by doing good, being good, & pursing a good mission), you will find joy.
Example 2
“Money buys happiness” and “money doesn’t buy happiness” are both true.
Seeking happiness by buying entertainment and vices as an escape from boredom does NOT buy happiness
But earning money because you provide a service, being good at what you do, and providing for people does
How does this opinion explain how the world really works in a way that accurate, wholistic, and realistic?
Everything depends on context. It’s best to avoid generic statements without considering the context surrounding the advice.
Especially in polarizing social climates, there’s no such thing as “that group” because groups are made up of distinctly individual people who live and operate distinctly different lives.
